An Olympic promotion video featuring 24 movie stars will make its debut on the CCTV Movie Channel at 19:35 on Thursday night.

The promo, directed by Lin Jinhe, attracted 24 movie stars from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to play athletes competing in various Olympic sporting events, the portal website 163.com reported.

In the promo, movie veteran Vicky Zhao, or Zhao Wei, played a fencer and competed with Jeff Chang from Taiwan.

Another popular actress Fan Bingbing showed her charm in equestrianism, revealing her perfect combination of strength and beauty.

The audience is also treated to other players’ talents in Olympic events such as tennis, swimming, judo, boxing, and badminton.

Although numerous promos for the upcoming August Olympics have been shot, Lin Jinhe is quite confident that this special promo will catch the audience’s eye and be remembered as a classic. This is because "all the athletes in the promo are played by professional movie stars," said Lin.

However, the audacious idea took great effort from both the director and the actors.

Lin said that making the video was tough at the beginning. Despite using staffs to demonstrate movements, the actors could learn each Olympic sport very well. Fortunately, several staff members at the paralympic games venues were on hand to help Lin finish the promo.

Although three of China’s leading actresses Vicky Zhao, Fan Bingbing, and Li Bingbing are included in the cast, none of them was the leading heroine, the director said.

"Each of these 24 players speaks for one Olympic event, and all these sports are of equal importance," Lin said. "It is the Olympics that attracted them to play the roles, not the payment."

The Asian Superstar is finally thinking of releasing an album this year, since his last album in 2006. According to J.Tune the dancing machine will concentrate on only recording and producing his album when he returns home in July.

Details of this is not out yet, but it looks like Rain will participate in some local production after his album release.

The Korean entertainer se7en who was previously the main actor in Prince Hours or Goong S and one of the influential singer and dancer internationally will spread out his career in the US. Se7en attended a press conference in which he declared that he will be part of an American cable TV program and it will be a stepping stone in his acting career. That show will be aired around July or August. The pop singer with his management announced that he will not only focus in singing but also pursue his career in the field of acting and modeling. Despite all criticisms and a failure in his first drama in Korea, somewhat it became his first step in pursuing and doing well in the future shows and improving his skills in acting. After the successful promotion in New York and Los Angeles, he planned to release a new album around same time with the airing of his TV show. He forecasted that this year would be a great chance for him to gain fame in US waves.

        The film shows that Rizal was exiled in Dapitan due to the decision of the government. But despite of sending him out far away he still achieved significant things. He is really amazing that he continued to practice medicine and even cure the sick people especially those who have problems with their eyes. Rizal also engaged himself in farming, agriculture and even building a school for boys, water system and discovering new specimens. Although he made himself busy for so many things, still he keeps the correspondence to the family and friends. Rizal can have a rest in Dapitan and can even give no attention to his past activities but he kept in his heart the things that merely interest him. Although his life in Dapitan was a bit contented, the problem of Rizal’s turning back to the Catholic Church was a great issue to the friars. The authority in the Church gave such conditions that can contribute on making Rizal be part on the Church like before. The Jesuit even sent Fr. Sanchez to convince Rizal in changing the errors defined by Rizal in the novel to the Catholic Church and its attack to the Spanish colony. Even if Fr. Sanchez was his favorite teacher and even considered him as his father, he really stands in his principle and changes nothing on what he had stated before. In spite of Fr. Sanchez’s failure in convincing Rizal, this professor respect Rizal’s decision. Based on this event, it really shows that Rizal is not attacking the Church itself because there are some other good friars that are not hypocrites and even paid respect to people. There is a scene in the film that really struck me, when the boys in Dapitan joined the school of Rizal. If I try to evaluate the condition of Rizal as ex-communicated, the parents of those boys really gave their trust to Rizal to make their sons be educated and learn different lessons in life. Even the friars in the place warned the parents to get away their sons to the sinful beings so that they may be guided in the right path and not the path of this human evil that obviously referring to Rizal. I just realized that not all Filipinos before were ignorant and servants of Spaniards because just like some parents in Dapitan they were conscious of giving education to their children and entered them on the free school of Rizal with some conditions. This kind of attitude represents courage and willingness to learn many things not just intellectually but physically and mixed with recreation. I give my salute to these boys and especially to the consent and trust of the parents for the sake of their children to go beyond to the field of education and keeping the sense of motivation despite of financial problem.

                        One of the vital events in Rizal’s life in the Dapitan was the presence of Josephine Bracken in which they lived together without the matrimonial sacrament and considered as a disgrace during their time. I’m still a little bit confused with the character of Joshepine if she’s a spy or if she really loved Rizal. But the important lesson I get from Rizal in this event of his life is the importance of living a good and peaceful life with the partner despite of the lack in matrimonial sacrament and the critic of Rizal’s sister, the friars and other people. For Rizal it is better to live without matrimony but having a peaceful living rather having a matrimonial sacrament but the couple is always fighting and the relationship is really chaotic.

                        In the later part of the film Dr. Valenzuela visited Dapitan and brought a blind man to be cured but the reason for the visit is beyond curing but to solicit Rizal regarding the plan of revolution under the leadership of Bonifacion. Rizal objected the bloody revolution for the reasons of lack of arms and funds and the people are not yet ready for the revolution. There are so many things to prepare for. Rizal is projecting the consequences it they will pursue it. The Spaniards have better arms and battle equipments and the soldiers were well trained unlike the members of Katipunan. I think Rizal is not turning his back to his mission just because of his objection. It is just for him before conducting a bloody revolution, there must be a plan a big preparation especially to each member. Also he objected Dr. Valenzuela to rescue him from Dapitan because he gave his word of honor and promise to the Spanish government and he didn’t want to break it.

 TVXQ is a Korean acapella dance group that has achieved popularity in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and other Asian countries. Currently, the group become one of Asia’s most leading pop groups, and is one of the renowned groups in Korean Mania. The group debuted in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China throughout in 2004. It composes of five handsome and well talented male members and specializing in the field of dancing, acapella, pop with R&B and several drama acting. These five east Gods came into an audition in 2004 under the supervision of SM entertainment, one of the best association of talent circle in South Korea.                  The Boshido Code or the way of the warrior is the unwritten code of conduct of the Samurai warriors.  The code is very strict and it requires loyalty, frugality, martial arts mastery and devotion and honor to the death.  In this code, if the warrior is unsuccessful in defending his honor, he could reclaim it through performing ritual suicide or seppuku. There are seven virtues associated with the Bushido Code; Gi – Rectitude, Yu – Courage, Jin – Benevolence, Rei – Respect, Makoto – Honesty, Meiyo – Honor and Chugi – Loyalty. This is also the code of moral principles which the samurai were required. Bushido also became the soul of the Samurai an it developed over the centuries due to the influences of Zen Buddhism, Confucianism, Shintoism and the expression of these habits had their medium in visual and literary art such as painting, poetry and living the way of life they want to be. The soul of Boshido is simple is the same as humanity. It has a universal sense of values that everyone can understand especially to the class of warriors.

The movie helped me understand the way of life of the Samurai in Japan and their objection to modernization in terms of adopting western style of fighting. The Samurai really shows how they defend their means of battling and the usual things and practices they do. I just realized in the movie that each single part of a Samurai is really important just like their hair, sword, armor, etc because these represent their obedience to the code of conduct. These classes of people really offer their lives in honor of their country and will never allow themselves to be captured by the enemy. The code of Bushido in the movie was portrayed in the movie and how does the Samurai stand on it and keep their courage in winning over the enemies. Moreover, I appreciated how important the duty of a Samurai is, even in his last breath the reputation of their class is still overflowing. Just like what I’ve read about the lifestyle of the Samurai and the Boshido code, all of these were showed in the movie which portrayed the bravery, loyalty, courage, and honesty of each Samurai. They will not stop in the point of losing and their sword symbolizes their thoughts of morality and importance of service to defend their colleagues and the culture inculcated by then of their existence. I also came up with the realization that even Japanese at that time were not united to defend their society. Greedy people exist and want to benefit for themselves and can even adopt changes to abolish their old way of method of survival. The influence of voracious desire for power and fame results to betrayal. The concrete example for this is Omura. In some sources that tackle about Samurai, it was stated that some of them are coward and weak and can’t take hold of their code of conduct because of illiteracy and insufficient training. Somewhat I noticed it on the movie in the character of the Emperor Meiji. At first cowardice and weakness win over the principles of their society. It is on the late part of the movie when he realized to defend the dignity and honor of the Samurai.
